The Warpstock Committee is pleased to announce that OS/2 NetLabs will be exhibiting at Warpstock 2001. Be sure to visit their booth when you attend Warpstock this year.
OS/2 Netlabs was founded in 1997 with the goal of creating a center for
free Open Source Software for OS/2. Today, OS/2 Netlabs is one of the
largest developers of OS/2 software outside of IBM itself. With its many
ground-breaking projects, OS/2 Netlabs has won a name for itself in the
great OS/2 Community.
OS/2 Netlabs is responsible for such amazing (and free) OS/2 software like
Odin (lets you run 32-bit Windows application on OS/2), X-Workplace (a
super enhancement to the WPS), and WarpIN (the new standard in OS/2
installers).
For more information on OS/2 NetLabs and their products, please visit
their web site at http://www.netlabs.org.
The 5th annual Warpstock conference will be held October 6-8, 2001, in Toronto, Ontario, Canada and is produced by Warpstock, Inc., a North Carolina non-profit corporation. The Warpstock annual conference is a gathering of OS/2 users, developers, and vendors from around the world for the purpose of education and advocacy. More information is available at the Warpstock 2001 website, http://www.warpstock.org or its mirror site: http://warpstock.os2voice.org.

Just a friendly reminder to anyone submitting news for broadcast on the VOICE Newslist.
Please send all News List posts to submit@os2voice.org. Currently the list is still only being moderated by one person, but that will change in the future. If you send a post to another address, it may not get posted.
Also when submitting posts, please try to include a short (one paragraph should suffice) description of what the event or product is. Sometimes people forget that not everyone is up on the latest hot applications. Or people may not have been interested when a previous post came through. You may think everyone knows what the product is, but some folks would have no idea what XYZ is if all you give is a version number and a file download URL.
To everyone subscribed to the list, thank you for persevering with our limited functionality. We still plan to add a web archive of the list as well as the ability to get the list in a digest version. We will implement these features when time and talent permit. If anyone feels they can help out with these or other tasks involved in helping VOICE meet it's goal of educating and supporting the OS/2 community, please don't hesitate to write me at editor@os2voice.org.

This is the first version of MySQL which doesn't requires EMX run-time.
Yuri Dario today finished the release of MySQL 3.23.42. This is the first public version of MySQL which does not use the EMX libraries anymore, it was compiled using the VisualAge compiler. This should fix some of the problems EMX caused.
