The conference gives impulse to the developers so they will work
on programs during the whole year
(the conference "charges" developer with energy and confedence)
Are you going participate in the conference?
Share your minds, what topcis to discuss?
BTW, here is the article of OS/2 activist which recalls the meeting
(october, 1996)
ACCEPTING MEDIOCRITY IN COMPUTING
- Just because you use Microsoft products, doesn't mean you are "state of the art."
(the meeting was aimed to support IBM OS/2 Warp 4 Merlin release):
There was a conference in 2004 (Garmisch-Partenkirchen, Germany)

One more interesting book about Thinkpad and IBM OS/2.
ThinkPad: A Different Shade of Blue tells the exciting inside story
behind the creation of one of the most successful brand names in
computing. Through interviews with the ThinkPad Team and IBM
executives, and access to internal documents and memoranda,
the book provides a rare inside view into the workings of an
IBM brand team. Here is the inside scoop on the cultural and
personality differences that almost killed one of the most
significant development efforts in IBM history.
More importantly, it offers valuable lessons on what it takes to
build a world-class, enduring brand or product.

The users are sending us fun pictures which demonstrate the power of Zippy archiver.
Don't use Zippy for this purposes!
Start the utility to archive / extract electronic files only.
What to do if command line archivers can't extract files / write about errors? -- Give the chance
to Zippy and try extract files.
What to do with 7z / 7zip files? -- Zippy supports this format.
