It's the same engine as the 4000 (works with the old drivers) and has ethernet AND WiFi connection. Very cool and works flawlessly under eCS.
Additional advantage: WiFi - so you can use it from OS/2 and Windows without peer networking. All TCP/IP. Very nice.
